Night Photography Courses

Our tutor will explain to you all the camera settings needed for the perfect night photograph such as your aperture, shutter and ISO. You'll learn how to control your shutter speeds to create amazing blur effects and vivid reflection shots of the city on the Brisbane river. You'll also learn how to correctly use your flash to create stunning night portraits. Whilst you are shooting, the tutor willl give you compositional tips and learn the rule of thirds to make your images really stand out.
Class sizes are deliberately kept small so you have more one on one time with your instructor.
Our this class, students will need some basic exposure settings of aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed is recommend. Please consider to complete the Beginner's course prior to this class.
What you will learn :
The class will concentrate primarily on the use of long exposures of various times, flash, and painting with light as well as the use of different focal lengths to create stunning night time cityscapes. Classes are capped at a maximum of six participants so each student will have more one on one time with the teacher.
Students will need to bring the following :
- Flash
- Torch (flashlight)
- Tripod (no tripod yet? check this out)
- Digital Camera (DSLR - able to control manually shutter speed and aperture)
- Fully charged batteries
- Image cards formatted (space to photograph) and spares if possible
- Rain jacket or umbrella (just in case)
- Camera Manual
