I absolutely loved this beginners photography class! Francis made everything so easy to understand and created such a welcoming environment, even for complete beginners like me. I walked in knowing almost nothing about my camera and left feeling confident using manual settings. The class was really hands-on, with plenty of time to practice and ask questions. It gave me skills I can actually use and I can't recommend this course enough.
Finally took my camera out of auto mode and what a difference! Francis has lots of patience and a well paced class followed by practical application of the camera functions learned. If you think you'll be overwhelmed, don't worry. Francis perfectly paces the class and consolidates the lesson by spending just the right time on each function taught and makes sure everyone is up to speed before moving on.
Francis' beginners' course was an excellent introduction to digital photography. It helped break through the overwhelming array of menus in a modern DSLR. Despite being a small group course, Francis spent time with each individual, showing them how to use key features on their specific camera. The course was well-paced, allowing plenty of time to reinforce the information with practice on subjects around South Bank. I've gone from feeling frustrated navigating camera menus to feeling confident trying new challenges in photography.
